Boise State, the first opponent the Cajuns will face this fall in football, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for United Way of Acadiana.

The goal of the page is to raise more than $36,000, or $1 for every seat in their stadium.

"With the devastating floods in Louisiana, it's time for Bronco Nation to step up," the GoFundMe page states.

Local media along with the team's travel agency set up the page.

"Boise State visits Lafayette on September 3rd and our community needs to open their hearts to help the area affected by historical rains," the page states. "Our goal is to raise $1 for every seat in  Albertsons Stadium ($36,387). Please donate what you can. All funds will go directly to the United Way of Acadiana."

As of this morning, the total raised was just over $3,000. The travel company even donated $500.
