All Clear Given At L.J. Alleman Middle School Following Bomb Threat
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Authorities have given the all-clear at L.J. Alleman Middle School. Students at the school had been evacuated following a bomb threat on the school's campus.
A release sent to members of the media from the Lafayette Parish School System said administrators were told that a student "had written on a bathroom stall's wall that there was a 'pressure-cooker bomb' on the school's campus."
Cpl. Paul Soriez with the Lafayette Police Dept. said "all students are safe and have been accounted for."
Lafayette Fire Dept. Haz-Mat teams were on the scene, Soriez said.
Students at Broussard Middle School were evacuated Thursday after a similar threat.
