Fire department officials, Lafayette Police and a bomb sniffing dog from UL Lafayette's force are all on the scene this morning at Lafayette Middle School after a bomb threat.

KPEL was on the scene as authorities worked to clear the school.

Police say they don't know if the bomb threat written on the boys' bathroom wall yesterday or today, but either way, as a precaution, they are investigating at the school.

Lafayette Police Department Spokesman Paul Mouton says multiple agencies are on the scene as a precaution as they are making sure that all the students are safe.
