Bomb Threat Evacuates Cecilia Jr. High

At 10:15 this morning students were evacuated from Cecilia Jr. High School after a bomb threat was discovered in a restroom. St. Martin Parish deputies helped with the evacuation of students and a search of the school. Buses took the students to Cecilia High School and they were dismissed at noon. At 12:56pm the school was deemed safe and was reopened to staff.

Aiding in the search of the school was a robot, the St. Martin Parish's Office S.E.R.T. members, the ULL Police Explosives Canine, members of the Cecilia, Arnaudville and Henderson Volunteer Fire Departments as well as Acadiana Ambulance.
