One man is accused of calling in a bomb threat at the McDonald's on 927 West Main Street on Thursday and a 15-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly phoning in a bomb threat to Jeanerette Sr. High School on Wednesday.

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says deputies responded to the threat at McDonald's around 2:00 p.m. Sheriff Ackal says the call was made directly to the business. 20-year-old Peter Collins III was taken into custody at the business. Collins sits in the Iberia Parish Jail charged with communicating of false information of planned arson.

 

 

On Wednesday, Jeanerette Sr. High School was forced to evacuate after the bomb threat was allegedly phoned in. The school was searched, but no threat was found. Sheriff Ackal says the unnamed boy who allegedly made the call was a former student of the school. He was charged with communication of false information of a planned bombing on school property. He has since been released to his parents.
