JENNINGS, La. (AP) — Bond has been set at $145,000 for a former Elton High School teacher and coach facing nearly a dozen charges of inappropriate behavior with current and former students.

The American Press reports 35-year-old Justin Joseph Fruge remains in the Jefferson Davis Parish jail after turning himself in to authorities Friday to face additional charges.

Fruge was initially arrested Jan. 18 on molestation of a juvenile charges involving female students.

Additional charges, including six counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student; one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile; and four counts of molestation.

The investigation began last month after deputies received information from school officials that allegations had been made against Fruge.

It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
