Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., MD, (R-Southwest Louisiana) tonight responded to President Obama’s address to the nation on the military action in Libya:

“The President said he consulted with Congress before taking action, but there was no communication with members prior our military intervention,” Boustany said. “He consulted with the UN Security Council before Congress, which is unacceptable. I hope our actions in Libya are swift and bring change to the nation, but despite his remarks, the President did not lay out clear goals for our exit or when that might be.”
