A new poll shows a majority of Americans are not happy with how President Obama is handling the economy. Nearly three-quarters of the people surveyed in the NBC News-"Wall Street Journal" poll say the administration has dropped the ball on the economy, on improving oversight of Wall Street and the banks and on the federal budget deficit.

Only 25-percent believe the economy will strengthen in the next 12 months. Obama's job approval rating is at 44-percent, with just over half indicating they don't like the way he's doing his job.  When asked about his thoughts on the poll, Congressman Charles Boustany says he was not surprised.

Boustany says he believes that people are tired of hearing about Obama's jobs plan as the Senate, with a democratic majority, did not vote for the measure.
