Congressman Charles Boustany will be in Lafayette Parish Thursday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to discuss the latest issues with constituents. The Town Hall will be at the City Hall's Council Chambers on 125 Lions Club Street in Scott. Boustany will answer questions while giving a brief update on the latest news coming out of Washington.

Meanwhile, Congressman Boustany's campaign says it was another good quarter for them as he gets ready for re-election this November. Boustany's campaign raised over $346,000 in the first quarter of 2012, bringing the campaign's cash on hand total to $1.5 million.

The incredibly large amount of support I am receiving throughout the District, especially in the parishes of St. Martin, Iberia, and St. Mary, is truly humbling. The positive feedback and commitment to my campaign from constituents across South Louisiana is reflected in this quarter’s total.

Since I was first elected to represent the people of South Louisiana, I have been ready and willing to take on all challengers. This year is no different. This quarter’s strong numbers express my attitude and eagerness to defeat any opponent I may face this year. I will continue to stay focused and am looking forward to campaign for reelection.
