Boustany Votes For Flood Insurance Legislation

votes for legislation he believes will assist Louisiana homeowners, businesses and communities concerning flood protection. Boustany says the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2011 guarantees the National Flood Insurance Program will continue to provide additional assistance and greater protections for homeowners who buy flood insurance through the program. Boustany says the bill also addresses concerns about mapping issues, allowing for more input from state, local and industry experts in redrawing FEMA Flood hazard maps.
