Lafayette Police need your help looking for three men accused of trying to kidnap a 9-year-old boy. Corporal Paul Mouton says the boy told them three black men drove up next to him in a black Ford 4-door vehicle at the intersection of Pearl Street and Jolivet Street. The boy told police one of the men jumped out of the backseat and hit him in the stomach. The boy was able to fight him off and run home.

The suspect that exited the vehicle is described as a black male in his 20's, approximately 5'6” tall, thin build and dressed all in black.  The front passenger of the vehicle was a black male with dreads containing red tips, wearing all black.  The driver was a black male wearing all black and a ski mask.  The suspect's vehicle was a black Ford 4-door with tinted rear windows and large chrome wheels.  The partial license number is believed to be “???X541”.
