BP is taking its next step to getting what they feel they're entitled to. Yesterday, BP filed a claim in federal court in New Orleans, that involved various companies involved in the 2010 Deepwater Horizon offshore oil well disaster. BP is reiterating claims first made last April that contractor Halliburton Energy Services owes them for expenses and lost profits resulting from the disaster. BP has accused Halliburton of botching the cement job on the well. But Halliburton says BP's just trying to saddle them with far more than its share of the legal burden. In the filing, BP also says Halliburton has made inaccurate statements about BP's legal claims.
