On the one year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Rig explosion, BP has sued Transocean for $40 billion dollars. They're also suing the maker of the faulty blowout preventer. Legal Analyst Tim Meche says this action is not unexpected. Meche says its BP's responsibility to their shareholders to minimize the amount of money they have to pay. Meche says it's interesting that BP waited until Wednesday -- the one year deadline to file the lawsuit. Meche says BP's lawsuit against Transocean and others will take a long time to resolve which isn't good news for oil spill victims who have filed their own suits against the parties involved.
