BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden says city-parish intends to purchase the former 24-acre Woman’s Hospital campus for $10 million.

William Daniel, chief administrative officer for Holden, told The Advocate (http://bit.ly/UrKskj ) the facility will be used for a public safety complex housing both the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Baton Rouge Police Department.

The sale includes the hospital building, medical office buildings, support service buildings, material management buildings, parking garage and all surface parking.
