LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- An employee at a salt plant in Breaux Bridge was apparently electrocuted to death while working by himself Saturday.

Officials with Cargill Salt told KATC TV-3 that Steve Rodrigue was working by himself on the fifth floor, something they said wasn't uncommon for him.

His body was discovered at around 6:30 p.m., officials said.

Rodrigue was a plant superintendent and had worked for the company for more than 20 years, officials said.

The St. Martin Parish Coroner's Office believe Rodrigue was electrocuted, but his death remains an investigation.
