Breaux Bridge Man Accused Of Sexual Misconduct With A Juvenile

A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested after agents conducted an investigation into possible sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Sheriff's spokesperson Maj. Ginny Higgins reported 28-year-old Derek McCauley was arrested Friday afternoon for aggravated incest and aggravated crimes against nature.

Investigators obtained a warrant for McCauley's arrest after the sheriff's office received a report alleging the undisclosed crimes.

McCauley was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center where he is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.
