Breaux Bridge Man Arrested On Drug Charges

(KPEL) — A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested after police found drugs on his home.

Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office they executed a search warrant at the Breaux Bridge home of 23-year-old Memphis Matthews after receiving several complaints of illegal drug activity.

Once inside, police found marijuana, crack cocaine, and a large amount of cash. There were also two juveniles inside the home.

Matthews has been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on charges of possession with intend to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, and illegal possession of drugs in the presence of a minor.
