Breaux Bridge Man Arrested On Pornography And Narcotics Charges
(St. Martinville, La.)-On Wednesday, Gary Hewitt, 57, of Breaux Bridge, was arrested on pornography charges involving juveniles and illegal narcotics. The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with Investigators with the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Baton Rouge Constable’s Office, and St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. Investigators executed a search warrant on the residence of Mr. Hewitt located on the 1200 Block of Courville Road in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Gary Hewitt and was based upon information derived from investigations. Mr. Hewitt was arrested on the following offenses:
La RS 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles
La R 40:966 Possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance
La RS 40:966 Possession of with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance
La RS 40:1023 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
La RS 14:95E Possession of a Firearm in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
Mr. Hewitt was booked into St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. At the time of this release, bond had not been set.
