Breaux Bridge Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of Girlfriend
ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (KPEL) -- A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested stemming from a domestic assault incident in St. Martin Parish.
Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Terry Rebert, Sr. allegedly "struck his live-in girlfriend with a weapon, causing injuries to the victim."
The girlfriend was place in the intensive care unit of a local hospital, Higgins says.
Rebert has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and domestic abuse battery. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on a bond of $250,000.
