Bridge Inspections Happening Across St. Mary Parish Over Next 2 Weeks (UPDATED)

Since the beginning of 2018, DOTD officials have been working across numerous parishes - Lafayette, Acadia and St. Landry Parishes to name 3 - carrying out routine bridge inspections.

This week, DOTD workers are concentrating on St. Mary Parish.

MONDAY (12th)

• US 90, in both directions over LA 83 (Baldwin Exit), will have intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8 AM until 12:00 PM, weather permitting.
• The eastbound inside lane and shoulder of US 90 between LA 3215 - Garden City Exit and LA 3211 - Franklin Exit will be closed from 12 PM to 4 PM, weather permitting.

TUESDAY (13th)

• US 90 over Wax Lake will have alternating lane closures in both direction from 8 AM to 12 PM, weather permitting.
• The westbound inside lane and shoulder of US 90 between LA 3215 - Garden City Exit and LA 3211 - Franklin Exit will be closed from 12 PM to 3 PM, weather permitting.

WEDNESDAY (14th)

• The Morgan City Bridge on US 90 will have alternating lane closures in both directions - between Berwick Road South and LA 182 - from 8 AM until 4 PM, weather permitting.

THURSDAY (15th)

• The southbound lane on LA 319 (Cypremort Point Road) on the Louisa Bridge - between LA 83 (Weeks Island Road) and Hazel Lane - will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. Two way traffic will be maintained utilizing a flagging operation.

MONDAY (19th)

• The southbound lane of LA 317 (Burns Point Road) on the Bayou Sale Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. Two way traffic will be maintained utilizing a flagging operation.

TUESDAY (20th)

• US 90 over Bayou Boeuf in Amelia between Duhon Boulevard and LA 662 will have alternating lane closures in both directions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

WEDNESDAY (21st)

• The Berwick Bridge on LA 182 over the Atchafalaya River, between LA 182 and Federal Avenue, will be closed from 8 AM to 3 PM, weather permitting. Detour: Includes US 90.

THURSDAY (22nd)

• The right lane of US 90 EASTBOUND from LA 182 to the end of the bridge just past Exit 176 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard wll be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The outside lanes of US 90 in both directions will be closed as workers inspect the newly constructed bridge over LA 318. The outside lane of US 90 will be closed from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the EASTBOUND direction and from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the WESTBOUND direction, weather permitting.

SUNDAYS (25th)

• There will be alternating lane closures in both directions of US 90 on the Atchafalaya River Bridge, Bayou Ramous Bridge and Bayou Boeuf Bridge, in St. Mary Parish, for a sweeping operation. This will happen from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TUESDAY (27th)

•  The right lane of US 90 WESTBOUND from LA 182 to the end of the bridge just past Exit 176 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard wlll be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The westbound outside lane and shoulder of US 90 over Bayou Boeuf in Amelia between Duhon Boulevard and LA 662 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
