Bring On The Free Fishing

This week is the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries annual "Free Fishing" weekend.

This Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, anyone of any age can fish for free this weekend in any of the state's public waters.

The goal of this annual "Free Fishing" weekend is to get new people interested in the sport, to offer a lure back to the sport for those who may have not done it in a while, and an opportunity for any visitors to the state of Louisiana to take part in the fun.

While you can fish for free, there are still fishing regulations that are still in place this weekend.
