Yesterday, KPEL 965s Brandon Comeaux published a story on our website in which he reported a tweet written by Joe Green of “Forward Louisiana” and the subsequent controversy that erupted in its wake. In the tweet, which has since been deleted, Green called Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, “the brown devil”.

After learning of the tweet, the Republican Party of Louisiana demanded an apology from Green as well as “Forward Louisiana” and its parent organization “Louisiana Progress Action” to “apologize for this racist and divisive comment.”

Early this morning, Green issued an apology that appeared under the Facebook comment section of our website. Below is that apology in its entirety.
