A mainstay of the French Quarter restaurant scene for the last 20 years has closed their doors for good. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant was launched internationally in 1996, and was modeled after the wildly popular 1994 Tom Hanks movie 'Forrest Gump'. The New Orleans location had a prominent spot on Decatur St. for the last 20 years, and parent company Landry's Inc announced the closure on Monday. The building is currently for sale for $5.4 million dollars.

Bye Bye Bubba...
