WASHINGTON (AP) — The future of a bipartisan budget bill appears to be cemented now that several Senate Republicans are backing it.

The bill would ease some of the across-the-board spending cuts and devotes a modest $23 billion to reducing the deficit over the coming decade.

The bill is expected to make it through a test vote today, with the House-passed measure to reach President Obama's desk no later than tomorrow.
