Burglar Shares Secrets With Investigators
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Police say a 25-year-old homeless man told investigators that he burglarized more than a dozen south Baton Rouge businesses looking for money to buy food and a one-way bus ticket to Oklahoma.
Before Dexter Carroll could make his way out of Louisiana, though, authorities caught up with him. He's accused of burglarizing at least 13 businesses in December and early January.
Police say Carroll told them he would chuck a piece of concrete through a glass door to gain entry into the businesses.
The Advocate reports Carroll was booked last week on numerous counts of simple burglary, theft and simple criminal damage to property. His bail totals more than $150,000.
It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
