At 0142 hours on February 2, 2011, Scott Police Officers responded to an alarm activation at 5401 Cameron Street (Mapco Express). Upon arrival, officers observed that the glass door to the business had been completely shattered. Officers were able to determine that a sizeable amount of cigarette packs had been taken. The manager of the store was able to view surveillance video footage of the incident and was able to get a description of the suspect. Later that same morning Lafayette Police apprehended a white male subject attempting to break into another business in their jurisdiction. In the suspect’s vehicle, officers located numerous packages of cigarettes strewn throughout the vehicle. Lafayette Police contacted Scott Police in reference to their apprehension and Scott Police were able to identify the subject as the same person in the Mapco Express burglary. JB Guillory was then charged with Simple Burglary for the Scott incident .
