Caddo Sheriff Offers Gun Class For Kids
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a gun safety class for children 8 to 12 years old.
The "First Gun Course"is a 4-hour class offered from 8 a.m. until noon on Dec. 15 and Jan. 5 at the Sheriff's Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy.
The course is designed for children who will receive a BB gun, shotgun or hunting rifle for Christmas, or for those who may already have a gun but whose parents want them to learn how to use it safely.
There's no cost for the course, but pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting Andrea Samuel at 318-681-0735.
