SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has been hosting a training program for officers from throughout the state to help them learn how to determine if a driver is impaired by drugs or alcohol.

The training program prepares officers to administer sobriety tests in the field. It also teaches how to tell when a person is under the influence of a prescription drug.

KSLA TV reports that the classes for the officers were expected to wrap up this week.
