Everyone knows about the Cajun Navy and what this group of volunteers have done to help rescue Louisiana citizens during past hurricanes and now during the floods of 2016. But did you know there's also a group known as the Cajun Army? They don't use boats, but, like the Cajun Navy and other groups of volunteers, they use their hands and hearts to help. On Saturday, September 17, they're headed to Port Vincent, Louisiana, an area that's home to 500 people who have been flooded for a month. Saturday is the first day the water will be low enough for folks to get in there to start the hot and difficult work of demolition and rebuilding. If you'd like to help (or if you need help,) visit the Cajun Army facebook page to get all the details.
