Repairs to address structural deficiencies at the Cajundome are done--ahead of schedule and under budget. Cajundome operations director Phil Ashurst says the repairs were needed because adequate steel reinforcement wasn't used when the building was first built 30 years ago. Ashurst says $1.7 million was estimated for the project, but it came in nearly $35,000 under budget and nearly a year ahead of schedule.
