Cajundome To Celebrate Grand Reopening

The Cajundome opened in the fall of 1985. I remember attending the first USL basketball game, and first rock concert there. It was Foreigner & Robin Trower. at the time, it was a state of the art facility. Thirty one years have passed. the venue has hosted countless events, trade shoes, hockey, basketball, concerts, Slemco meetings, you name it. The 'dome closed 6 months ago for a multimillion dollars renovation. The Cajundome commission has invited folks to see the new Cajundome. The grand reopening will be November 29th, at 5:30 pm. Admission is free. People wishing to attend can log onto cajundome.com for a pair of complimentary tickets. Deadline for ticket requests is November 22nd, at 4pm. The first Cajundome events will be Ragin' Cajun men's & women's basketball December 1st.
