Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team closed out their 2012-2013 regular season schedule on Saturday, defeating the ULM Warhawks, 71-63, in Sun Belt Conference action in Monroe, La.

Louisiana led at the half, 34-26, and then went on to the eight-point win.

The Cajuns out-shot the Warhawks from the field, 43%-40%, including a 43%-23% advantage from beyond the three-point arc.

Shawn Long led the way for Louisiana, scoring 17 points, along with ten rebounds, while Amos Olatayo paced ULM in a losing cause with a game-high 21 points.

With the win, the Cajuns improved to 12-19 overall, and 8-12 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Warhawks fell to 4-22 overall, and 3-17 in league play.

Louisiana will take on North Texas in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Friday at 6:30 pm.
