Cajuns Draw FIU in Sun Belt Opener

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are the #3 seed in the Sun Belt Baseball Tournament starting Wednesday at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field, and will draw #6 seed FIU in their first game Wednesday night at 7:30.

The Cajuns (38-17, 19-11 Sun Belt) were relegated to the #3 seed Saturday night when Troy defeated South Alabama to tie for the league championship.  The Cajuns finished the regular season by sweeping Louisiana-Monroe.  FIU, meanwhile, was swept over the weekend by rival Florida Atlantic.

The Cajuns tied for third place with FAU, but won the tiebreaker on the basis of their 2-1 series win earlier this season.

Other games on the tournament's first day will pit #4 FAU against #5 Western Kentucky at 9am, #1 Troy vs. #8 Arkansas State at 12:30 and #2 South Alabama vs. #7 UALR at 4:00.
