Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team is back in action on Monday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the Arkansas St. Red Wolves at the Cajundome in a key Sun Belt Conference tilt.

Tip-off time is scheduled for approximately 7:15 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, along with Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

The game will mark the back-end of a day/night women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on Arkansas St. at 5 o’clock.

Louisiana, who is coming off of an 57-55 home loss to ULM on Monday night, their second home defeat of the year, is 10-8 on the season, and 4-3 in league play, while Arkansas St.,  who lost to Georgia St., 60-54, on Monday night, is currently 8-9, overall, and 3-5 in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 80.3/71.6, while out-shooting foes from the floor, 47.4%/42.4%, and holding down a 40.5/34.3 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by junior forward Shawn Long, who leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, at 16.2 ppg, and 9.8 rpg, respectively, and senior forward Brian Williams, who is averaging 12.3 points, to go along with 4.2 rebounds a contest.

Louisiana, who is 7-2 at home this season, including a 2-2 conference home mark, is concluding a three-game homestand.

The Red Wolves are being out-scored by the opposition, 66.7/65.5, out-shooting foes from the field, 41.2%/40.9%, while being out-rebounded, 37.1/35.7.

Arkansas St. is paced by senior forward Anthony Livingston, who is averaging 15.8 points and 9.4 rebounds-per-game, along with junior forward Cameron Golden, who is averaging 15.5 points, along with 3.4 rebounds a contest.

Louisiana leads all-time series, 45-23, and has won the last three meetings.
