Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team fell on the road in non-conference action on Tuesday night, dropping a 6-4 decision, to the Houston Cougars, in Houston, Texas.

Houston grabbed the early lead, scoring three run in the first inning, and then then more in the second, to take a 6-0 advantage.

Louisiana got on the board with a three-run home run by freshman shortstop Blake Trahan in the top of the fourth, and then another run in the top of the sixth, but the six-run deficit was too much to overcome.

The Cougars were led at the plate by third baseman Jonathan Davis, who went 2-for-4, with a home run, and four RBI's, while Trahan paced the Cajuns, with the three-run homer.

Starter Jake Lemoine (6-3) got the win for Houston, with Chase Wellbrock recording his seventh save, while Matt Plitt (3-1) suffered the loss for Louisiana.

With the victory, the Cougars improved to 28-17, while the Cajuns fell to 31-15.
