Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball  team fell on the road in non-conference action on Saturday night, dropping an 85-63 decision to the Houston Cougars, in Houston, Texas.

Houston dominated the opening half, and led at halftime, 45-29, and never looked back, en route to the 22-point win.

The Cougars out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 48%-40%, and also out-rebounded Louisiana by a 42-32 count.

Houston was led in scoring by Joseph Young, who had a game-high 27 points, while Shawn Long paced Louisiana in a losing cause with 20 points.

With the victory, the Cougars improved to 8-2 on the season, while the Cajuns dropped to 4-7.

Louisiana returns to action on Tuesday evening, when they host Robert Morris.
