Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Thursday evening, when coach Bob Marlin's squad plays host to the Panhandle St. Aggies, in non-conference action.

Tipoff time at Blackham Coliseum is scheduled for 7 o'clock.

The match-up will serve as the 2016-2017 home opener for Louisiana, who concludes the short two-game homestand by hosting Delaware St. on Monday evening.

The Cajuns, who fell to Montana St., 84-83, on Monday night, is 0-2 on the young season.

Louisiana is being outscored by the opposition, 85.0/78.5, and outshot, 49%/34%, while outrebounding opponents, 41.0/40.5.

The Cajuns are paced by freshman forward Justin Miller, who is averaging 16.0 points, to go along with 2.5 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 15.5 points and 3.0 rebounds.

For Panhandle St., a Division II school out of Oklahoma, the game will serve as an exhibition.

The Aggies, who play in the Lone Star Conference, are currently 2-1 on the season.

Panhandle St. is outscoring opponents, 86.3/78.3, and outshooting them, 43%/38%, while being outrebounded, 44.0/42.0.

The Aggies are led by junior forward Devonta Brooks, who is averaging 16.0 points and 7.7 rebounds-per-game, and sophomore forward Jace Kerr, who is at 15.7 and 6.7, respectively.
