The 2012-2013 college basketball season came to a close for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns on Saturday night, after falling to the top-seeded Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, 81-66, in the quarterfinal round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Middle Tennessee led at the half, 39-33, and then outscored Louisiana, 42-33, in the second half, to move into the semi-finals, with the 15-ploint win.

Louisiana closed the Middle Tennessee lead to only three points, 41-38, at the 17:17 mark of the second half, but the Blue Raiders then went on a 16-4 run over the next 6:00, to extend their lead to 57-42, at the 11:17 mark of the second half. From there, they would never look back.

The Blue Raiders out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 49%-42%, and also finished with a 34-23 rebound advantage.

Guard Bruce Massey led the way for Middle Tennessee, scoring 15 points, while guard Alan-Michael Thompson paced Louisiana in a losing cause, with a game-high 17 points.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders improve to 28-4 on the year, while the Cajuns end their season with an overall record of 13-20.
