Despite their first mid-week loss of the season, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns maintained their No. 1 ranking the latest Collegiate Baseball Top 30 poll.

The Cajuns have been ranked at the top by Collegiate Baseball in three of the last four weeks.  Virginia, Cal Poly, Texas and Oregon State round out the top five.

LSU moved up one spot to 14.

In the Perfect Game Poll, Louisiana (34-4) moved up one spot to No. 2 behind Virginia.  Cal Poly, Florida State and Oregon State are ranked 3-5.  In that poll, LSU moved up three spots to number 8.

The Cajuns are also ranked No. 2 in Baseball America, behind Virginia.  Cal Poly, Florida State and Oregon State complete the top five in that poll.  LSU jumped four spots to No. 12.

And. the Cajuns are also second in the USA Today Poll, up from No. 3 last week.  Again, Virginia is top-ranked, with Oregon State, Cal Poly and Florida State rounding out the top five.

LSU is number seven, up one spot.

Louisiana dropped a game to New Orleans Tuesday night but rebounded in the next four games with a win over McNeese State and a three game sweep of Arkansas-Little Rock.

The Cajuns are No. 7 in the latest RPI.

The team heads to Arlington,TX this weekend for a three game series against UT Arlington.  Game times are scheduled for 6:30pm Friday, 2:00 Saturday and 1:00 Sunday.  All three games will be heard on 96.5 KPEL-FM.
