Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team is back in action on Friday evening, when coach Bob Marlin's squad travels to Auburn, Alabama, to take on the Auburn Tigers, in a non-conference tilt.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8 o'clock, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on Hot 107.9, and on-line at 1079ishot.com, beginning with the pregame show at 7:30 pm.

The game is the second contest for the Cajuns in the MGM Grand Main Event, which will conclude next week, with two games in Las Vegas. Nevada.

Louisiana, who is 1-1 on the young season, is coming off of a 64-53 setback to Tulsa on Monday night, while Auburn, who fell to Colorado, 90-59, on Tuesday night, is also 1-1.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 69.0/60.5, and out-shooting foes from the floor, 49.0%/40.6%, while holding a 38.5/30.5 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by Devonta Walker and Shawn Long, who are each averaging 11.5 points-per-game.

The Tigers are being outscored by the opposition, 81.5/71.0, and being out-shot, 54.5%/36.4%, while being out-rebounded, 39.0/33.0.

Auburn is paced by KT Harrell, who is averaging 20.0 points-per-game, along with Cinmeon Bowers, who is averaging 14.5 points, along with 15.0 rebounds a contest.

Auburn leads the all-time series, 5-3, but Louisiana won the last meeting between the two schools, 96-93, back in December of 2000.
