Cajuns Take On Blue Raiders

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday evening, when coach Bob Marlin's squad travels to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Louisiana lost to Wetern Kentucky, 72-49, on Thursday night, to drop to 7-13 overall, and 3-6 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Middle Tennessee defeated UALR, 82-50, on Thursday night, to improve to 15-4 overall, and 7-1 in league play.

The Cajuns are led by freshman center Shawn Long, who is averaging 15.5 points, and 10.1 rebounds-per-game, while the Blue Raiders are paced by senior guard Marcos Knight, who is averaging 12.6 points per contest.

The game will mark the second of the year between the two programs, with Middle Tennessee winning, 72-58, back on November 29, in Lafayette.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
