For the first time since putting together his original staff, Mark Hudspeth will be looking for a new assistant coach.

The Louisiana head coach will be looking to replace Greg Stewart, after the University announced Stewart would not be returning to the position next year.

Stewart is a 24-year veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks, having spent most of his career at Jacksonville State before joining the Cajuns.

In a statement released by the University's Media Relations Department, Stewart said he has "decided to go in a different direction."

A search for Stewart's replacement is underway.

Stewart was part of a coaching staff that has won 18 games the past two seasons.
