Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday evening, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to San Marcos, Texas to take on the Texas St. Bobcats in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.

The game, which will be the second road game for Louisiana since September 17, will mark the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Cajuns leading the all-time series, 3-0, including a 34-10 win over the Bobcats in San Marcos, Texas in 2014, followed by a 49-27 over Texas St. a year ago at Cajun Field.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate show, begins at 4 pm on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast in time for the Southside Honda Pregame Show, which will begin at 6 o’clock.

Kickoff time at Bobcat Stadium is set for 6 pm.

Louisiana, who fell to Appalachian St., 24-0, back on October 13 at Cajun Field, has lost three-straight, and is 2-4, overall, and 1-2 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 23.0 points-per-game, along with 374.2 total yards, including 173.0 rushing yards, and 201.2 passing yards, while allowing 32.0 points, and 410.3 total yards, including 129.5 rushing yards, and 281.8 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by senior quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has completed 104-of-172 passes for 1,116 yards and 8 touchdowns, and senior running back Elijah McGuire, who has rushed for 560 yards and three touchdowns.

Texas St., who lost to ULM, 40-34, last Saturday, will enter the match-up at 2-4, overall, and 0-2 in league play.

Offensively, the Bobcats are averaging 27.5 points-per-game, to go along with 366.7 total yards, including 89.2 rushing yards, and 277.5 passing yards a contest, while allowing 43.0 points, to go along with 515.3 total yards, including 231.8 rushing yards, and  283.5 passing yards.

Texas St. is paced by senior quarterback Tyler Jones, who has completed 146-of-234 passes for 1,571 yards and 10 touchdowns, and sophomore running back Stedman Mayberry, who has rushed for 375 yards and two touchdowns.

The game marks the only game of a short one-game road trip for the Cajuns, who return home on Saturday, October 29, for a homecoming match-up against Idaho.
