Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday evening, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to Monroe, Louisiana to take on the ULM Warhawks in a key Sun Belt Conference match-up.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate begins at 4 pm on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast in time for the Hampton Toyota Pregame Show, which will begin at 5 o’clock

Kickoff is set for 6 o’clock.

Louisiana, who defeated New Mexico St., 44-16, last Saturday, for their fifth-consecutive victory, is currently 6-3, overall, and 5-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while ULM, who lost to Texas St., 31-29, last week, will come in with an overall record of 3-6, along with a 2-3 league mark.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 30.6 points, 423.8 yards, 198.4 passing yards, and 225.3 rushing yards per game, while the Warhawks are averaging 18.7 points, 332.0 total yards, 244.9 passing yards, and 87.1 rushing yards a contest.

Defensively, Louisiana is allowing 27.8 points, 422.0 total yards, 160.6 rushing yards, and 261.4 passing yards per game, while ULM is giving up an average of 26.9 points, 352.9 yards of total offense, 145.4 rushing yards, and 207.4 passing yards an outing.

The Cajuns are led by senior quarterback Terrance Broadway, who has thrown for 1,593 yards and ten touchdowns, with another 472 rushing yards to his credit, along with sophomore running back Elijah McGuire, who has 912 rushing yards and ten touchdowns, and junior receiver Al Riles, who has 22 catches for 262 yards.

The Warhawks are paced by senior quarterback Pete Thomas, who has thrown for 2,052 yards and nine touchdowns, along with senior running back Centarius Donald, who has 540 rushing yards and five touchdowns, and junior receiver Rashon Ceasar, who has accumulated 523 receiving yards on 52 catches.

The Cajuns lead the all-time series, 25-24, but the Warhawks won last year, 31-28, in Lafayette.
