Calcasieu Couple Sentenced For 2010 Stabbing

A couple looking for revenge will now be spending the next 15 to 20 years behind bars.

Prosecutors say Tiffany Saucier of Welsh and Christopher Marshall Jr. of Lake Charles beat and stabbed Julian Broussard near his home east of Jennings in December 2010. Prosecutors say the couple attacked Broussard in retaliation for an alleged armed robbery.

Saucier received 15 years for attempted second-degree manslaughter after pleading guilty in November; Marshall received 20 years for attempted manslaughter after being convicted in January. The couple was initially charged with attempted second-degree murder.
