Caller Reports Suspicious Activity That Leads To Arrest

Three men have now been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary after someone called Acadia Parish deputies about suspicious activity at a home on White Oak Highway near Branch.

The Acadia Sheriff's Office took two men into custody yesterday afternoon, and the third suspect who ran away was arrested several hours later.

Police say dozens of weapons had been taken from the home.  The following males were arrested in the case:

• Brandon C. Guidry, age 20, of Ann Drive, Rayne
• Cody J. Woodruff, age 17, of Allison Loop, Eunice
• Nicklous R. Thomas, age 27, of Ann Street, Eunice

Melancon commends the person who called in the suspicious activity that led to the arrests in this case.  He also says he thanks residents and farmers who helped law enforcement find the third suspect.
