Can You Still Use Your LA Driver’s License To Board A Plane?

There has been confusion that Louisiana residents would not be able to use their driver's licenses to board planes beginning on Friday, January 1 after the state failed to comply with the federal REAL ID law.

The News Star reports that the state received a year - long extension in October 2015. A passport would have been required for travel had the state not secured the extension.
