With the recent resignation of Captain Clay Higgins from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, I thought it would be a good time to take a look back on some of his most impacting videos from the last two years.

This may be the first St. Landry Crime Stoppers video done by then - sergeant Higgins back in October of 2014.  He hasn't yet gone off - script, which would lead to his eventual fame.

'Man's Best Friend' - Lt. Higgins demonstrates the power of the dogs used in drug investigations to encourage drug dealers to give up their ways.

'Mr. Lizard, put down your pipe for a minute and listen' - Lt. Higgins challenges a thief who broke into a bar in Opelousas to turn himself in.

Perhaps Higgins' most moving video was his message to a 19 - year old man wanted for attempted 1st degree murder and other charges. 'Listen to Uncle Clay' is advice anyone should heed.

Captain Higgins' Veteran's Day Reflection - It doesn't get more heartfelt and inspiring than this.

Higgins encourages a young criminal with the street name 'Bullet Head' to seek redemption and turn himself in.

Captain Higgins calls out scammers operating in St. Landry Parish in front of the St. Landry Parish WW II Memorial.

'After that, I'm going to have a cheeseburger with fries and a Coke.' - Captain Higgins challenges those responsible for breaking into and robbing Stelly's Supermarket.

'Ma Barker Gang in a mini - van:' Capt. Higgins challenges what appears to be a family of thieves who robbed a car wash in Port Barre.

'Abbadon, listen well' - Higgins challenges the person involved in the robbery of the Lawtell Cursillio Center.

'Your character won't be measured by how you fell, but it will be measured by how you stand back up.' - Inspiring words issued to men who robbed dollar stores in Opelousas.

Finally, a KATC news story about the men who turned themselves in after listening to the words of 'Uncle Clay.'
