Car Burglary Suspects Sought In Iberia Parish

Shortly after Midnight Friday Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to call of a car burglary on Caroline Street. On arrival deputies learned the home owner saw two men trying to break into his car so he armed himself and shot at one of the suspects. The suspect fled on foot at that time.

One suspect is described as being a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black and white sneakers.

A vehicle reported stolen earlier was found near the attempted burglary. Upon investigation deputies learned of several other reports of vehicle burglaries and believed the crimes are linked.
