Jeremy Keith Ross of Lafayette was arrested by the City Marshal's office today in the 100 block of Chester Street. Ross was wanted on four outstanding warrants including:

  • Attempted aggravated arson for allegedly pouring gasoline on the back door of the victim's home.
  • Aggravated battery by allegedly striking the victim with a clothes iron.
  • Aggravated assault with a clothes iron by allegedly throwing the said iron and nearly hitting a one year old child.
  • Domestic abuse battery.

Since 1998 Ross has been arrested at least 34 times since 1998. 9 times for drug law violations, theft, possession of stolen goods, failure to appear in court several times, burglary, firearm violation, forcible rape, simple escape ( four counts ) and traffic violations.

Ross was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center without bond.
