Career Criminal Arrested By Lafayette City Marshal
Jeremy Keith Ross of Lafayette was arrested by the City Marshal's office today in the 100 block of Chester Street. Ross was wanted on four outstanding warrants including:
- Attempted aggravated arson for allegedly pouring gasoline on the back door of the victim's home.
- Aggravated battery by allegedly striking the victim with a clothes iron.
- Aggravated assault with a clothes iron by allegedly throwing the said iron and nearly hitting a one year old child.
- Domestic abuse battery.
Since 1998 Ross has been arrested at least 34 times since 1998. 9 times for drug law violations, theft, possession of stolen goods, failure to appear in court several times, burglary, firearm violation, forcible rape, simple escape ( four counts ) and traffic violations.
Ross was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center without bond.
